SMC Pentax-FA 28-70mm F4 Auto Focus Lens Review and Sample Photos
This is one of my favorite Pentax AF zoom lenses! I tend to favor small, lightweight gear, and this lens definitely fits the bill. Despite being small, light, and mostly made of plastic, it has a metal mount, feels relatively sturdy, and has a constant aperture through the focal length range.
LIKES: small, lightweight, well-made despite being mostly plastic, metal mount, max aperture is constant throughout focal length, reasonably sharp wide open.
DISLIKES: a bit slow at f4 (although that's the trade-off for the small size), not internal focus (meaning front element rotates when focusing).
